We either fear that the pleasure might disappear, or we hope that it will intensify.
— Yuval Harari, Sapiens
The mind is trapped in a cycle of craving. We resist pain, cling to pleasure, and constantly chase more.
Take success, for example. We work tirelessly for a promotion, a bigger business, or a new milestone. Yet, once we achieve it, the excitement fades, and a new goal takes its place. We worry about maintaining our status or compare ourselves to those who have achieved more.
Instead of endlessly seeking more, what if we learned to be present with what is?
According to Buddha’s teachings, freedom comes from letting go of craving. By training the mind to accept reality as it is, we break free from suffering.
Dharma isn’t about avoiding pain or chasing happiness—it’s about finding peace in the present.
I need to learn more about that cool guy, Buddha. 🙌
